Mediahuis Ventures is investing in WorkerHero, a Munich-based recruiting technology startup which has raised €4 million in a Series A funding round led by Mediahuis. Existing investors, including 10x Founders and Bonsai Partners, also participated in the round.
WorkerHero was founded in 2021 by Richard Fischer, Steven Miller, Michael König, and Emanuel Wernitz to address shortage of skilled workers. Using AI-driven sourcing and matching, the platform connects companies with high-quality candidates. The focus is on comprehensive pre-qualification and enhancing the availability of skilled workers, resulting in higher success rates. Over 70,000 users have already created profiles on WorkerHero. Companies like Telekom, HelloFresh, and BayWa are successfully recruiting through the platform.

The completed funding round allows WorkerHero to scale further and enter new industries. This will be facilitated by an upgrade to a new platform version, further simplifying recruiting and job searching for users. The updated version offers an improved design and enhanced features, including advanced AI tools. Additionally, WorkerHero aims to place a focus on international hiring to support companies in recruiting skilled workers from abroad.
