Antwerp, 19 September 2023 – European media group Mediahuis invests in CareerFairy, a fast-growing Swiss Recruitment technology scale-up from Zürich, matching students and graduates of European universities with companies that want to reach this young potential. Companies use CareerFairy to boost their employer branding, sourcing and recruiting of graduates internationally, as well as locally.
Mediahuis is the lead investor in this funding round and the investment will be used to accelerate the international expansion of CareerFairy, in parallel with further developing its technology platform.
CareerFairy guides students during their research of the labour market, bringing them in contact with the companies that best match their education, interests and way-of-life. CareerFairy enables employers to host interactive online events, where employers offer young talent an authentic view of the company’s daily life, show off their innovative projects and take an authentic look at their working culture.
Besides boosting the employer branding of companies and connecting them with students, CareerFairy offers candidates an easy in-stream application process, while simplifying the companies’ process of identifying and recruiting the otherwise hard-to-access body of young graduates.
CareerFairy was founded in 2019 by Thomas Schulz and Maximilian Voss, who identified students’ need for guidance during their search of the labour market, while at the same time recognizing companies’ need to source more and more internationally.
CareerFairy has grown to a team of 25 people in Zurich and elsewhere in Europe and has customers like KPMG, Beiersdorf, l’Oreal and Swisscom.
With the investment, Mediahuis takes another step in the RecTech market, investing in technology driven companies that want to revolutionize the sourcing and recruitment market, a market in which Mediahuis is already active, through the leading Belgian recruitment portal Jobat.
